In its ninth year, AMCF is a firm fixture on the Melbourne events calendar. Due to overwhelming demand this year’s festival at the iconic Fed Square will showcase a three-day program for the first time.
This three-day celebration of the very best of African culture is a spring highlight and the only place where you will you see over 35 African countries and community organizations represented through music, food, fashion, film, dance, art and culture – right in the heart of Melbourne.
This year the AMCF is excited to partner with The Walt Disney Company and the upcoming theatrical release, Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. This partnership is fantastic for our festival and provides a great opportunity for audiences to celebrate African culture through Black Panther: Wakanda Forever which will release in cinemas nationally on the 11th November, one week prior to our festival.
